Kategorie 2 entspricht einem Kugeldurchmesser von 25,4 mm. Bei dem Einbaumaß von minimum 610 mm bis maximum 825mm handelt es sich um ein sehr gängiges Maß im Bereich der KAT-Schlepperklasse. Basis des Oberlenkers ist ein doppeltwirkender Zylinders mit 80 mm Innendurchmesser und 40 mm Kolbendurchmesser.

Für Leistungsstärkere Schlepper im Kategorie 2-Bereich kann optional ein Kategorie 3-Oberlenker mit 90 mm-Zylinder verwendet werden. Bei der Kategorie 3 handelt es sich um eine Bolzendurchmesser von 32 mm.
